It's been my position for some time now that we should allow gay men into the military, and kick_the_women_out. I'm sure there must be many women who contribute much on the battlefield, but I feel that they are more important to the Left as a propaganda tool.

Chris, this is apropos of nothing in this post, but I'm writing it here because I don't have your email. In fact, it has to do with Thanksgiving and the comment that you left on my Reformation Day post a few weeks back.

I was just lying in bed and suddenly felt called to leave you a note. Have high expectations for what God will do, or rather, has done. I believe he has you in mind to be one of his own. And for that I am very thankful. It feels kind of strange to be writing that to you in the middle of the night on Thanksgiving, but it felt like a message that I had to deliver.

Have a happy Thanksgiving.

PS: By the way, I am sorry that you lost your friend. I hope that your heart will be okay.

Women more than deserve to be in the military.

Having served my country in Iraq for OIFIII, I met several women doing their part as well. Their job titles are numerous, and include so-called "combat" roles. I consider them all to be combat roles, and the negative psychological harms of war are just as harsh on men as women.

Of all the excuses I have heard about taking women out of combat, none have been proven. Most of these arguments could be made for men as well. War is harsh, as is life. If we choose war, then we all have a stake in how we participate regardless our gender.

Kevin,

You may indeed be right about the capabilities of women serving in the military, but my point was that when women suffer PTSD or die in the line of duty, they become a valuable propaganda tool to the Left.

I would very much like the Iraq War to be judged on its merits, and not on the number of "womyn" who suffer at the hands of the "Dominant Paradigm/White Supremacist Capitalist Patriarchy". . .
